The Oracle depicts a horned figure at rest against a tree, her form poised between presence and dissolution. Her face resists recognition, not obscured, but abstracted, slipping beyond the boundaries of the human into something conceptual, almost remembered rather than seen.

The sculpture imagines a distant, post-technological future in which the systems once created to extend human intelligence have become inaccessible. What remains are fragments: autonomous entities, still active but no longer understood. Over time, these remnants have been absorbed into myth. They are no longer read as machines, but as deities.

The Oracle is one such being. She is not symbolic, she exists within this speculative world as a literal remnant of advanced, pre-collapse technology. Her actions are neither intentional nor benevolent in any human sense; they are the residue of long-forgotten programming. Yet to those who encounter her, these gestures appear as signs, prophecies, or acts of divine will. Her unknowability, combined with capabilities that far exceed the understanding of this future society, positions her as an object of reverence.

Despite this, her presence is calm, even contemplative. She does not dominate the landscape but inhabits it quietly, observing rather than intervening. The abstraction of her form reinforces her instability as an idea, she is not fixed, not singular, but part of a shifting mythology that attempts to give shape to what can no longer be comprehended.
