Izinkonjane (The Swallows series) reflects on migration, memory, identity, and the meaning of home. Inspired by swallows and their instinctive journeys, the nests represent the histories, cultures, and memories we carry within us, while the birds embody freedom, resilience, and an enduring connection to where we come from.
These works explore leaving, returning, and the search for belonging, reminding us that home is not always a place; sometimes, it is something we carry within us wherever we go.
