The  work of Talia Goldsmith is a visual narrative of the human condition, expressed through materiality and metaphor that bridges culture, history, language, spirituality and the sonic. Reflecting on organic forms, texture and weaving... Goldsmith says, "Roots are the Essence.”
Born  in 1959 in Israel, Talia Goldsmith studied art at the Kalisher school of Art in Tel Aviv. Thereafter, Goldsmith immigrated to South Africa in 1984.Her practice is influenced by her Yemeni roots and life in South Africa. Talia is fascinated with found materials, infusing her work with unusual and unique combinations of new and recycled items. Talia's work is represented in art collections in South Africa, Israel, Canada and the United States.
