It is a portrait of Laduma
Ngxokolo who is a fashion designer that has turned local culture into a
cultural phenomenon around the world. He has won numerous awards on the global
stage with his MaXhosa Africa clothing brand. As a born Xhosa man, this work
represents my roots, and celebrates my culture and the people with it. Growing
up in the city i had a rare chance of celebrating and practicing my cultural
rituals.
