Tania Welgemoed can be described as a nature artist - depicting plants, flowers and the smaller amphibian and avian species of the more-than-human-world. Welgemoed is profoundly influenced by spirituality -  the oneness with Gaia and the presence of the Divine, that lives in all and emanates from all as a universal life force. Welgemoed draws from traces of mythology in song and cultures as the inspiration in the naming of her canvases; while using an earthy colour palette, juxtaposed by subtle elements of pink, further echoing her connection to nature.
